Marc's interest in daguerreoypes began in 1977 and after studying the
history and the writing and manuals of the daguerreotype era ventured to
make his own. In 1984, his daguerreian practice of a daguerreotype called
"la table servie"
was recorded by photographer Bernard Lefebvre, one of the donors to the Museum Nicéphore Niépce in Chalon-sur-Saône.
He exhibited his work at the International Biennale of Photography in Nancy, France
and the Conferences on the Daguerreotype and Heliochromy in Nancy, France. Marc was co-curator of the exhibit
"Louis Daguerre, le magicien de l'image"
at the Museum of Bry-sur-Marne. He is working on other exhibits and is a member of SFP (the French Society of Photography) and Hélios,
a group dedicated to alternative processes.
